Brief Description:
This tour helps tourist have some hands-on experience with handicraft making at the Ta Phin Village. Also, you will have opportunity to try the local cuisine with the local as well as enjoy a short walking to be around the village & stay with them

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1 : Hanoi – Night train to Lao Cai

09:00  P.M Pick up at the lobby of the hotel in Hanoi transfer to Hanoi Railways Station for the night train to Lao Cai.
Accommodation: 4 berth soft sleeper train cabin.

Day 2 : Hanoi – Lao cai – Suoi Ho Village – Ma Tra Village – Ta Phin Village – Homestay (12km trekking, 3-4 hour trekking) (B,L,D)

Arriving at Lao cai Train Station at 06:30 A.M, you are welcomed by our driver then we have an hour driving to Sapa for freshing up & breakfast.
09:30 A.M, we begin the day with a 3km trek through breathtaking landscape to the village of Suoi Ho, home to Hmong minority. From here you can enjoy views over endless rice terraces, and you will have the opportunity to see some of the animals used by the locals. Continuing on to Matra village you will come across the impressive ruins of a church dating back to the French occupation in the early 1900s. Take a minute to explore this intriguing sight and take some photos. Trekking to the village of Ta Phin you will be able to meet both Black Hmong and Red Dao minorities. The Red Dao are known for their expertise in herbal medicine as well as usage of plants from the land to treat many illnesses. Your guide will be able to introduce you to some Red Dao women who can tell you more about their many remedies. A Red Dao herbal medicine bath can be arranged for you to experience. Check in the homestay. Tonight, we will stay overnight and have dinner with the local.

Day 3 : Half Day Handicraft Making Tour – Day Bus to Hanoi (B,L)

08:30 A.M, breakfast time
09:15 A.M : Weaving introductory session and hands-on about 30 minutes
09: 45:  Batik introductory session of tools, style and hands-on about 30 minutes
10:15 A.M : Dyeing of batik introductory session and hands-on about 30 minutes
10:30 A.M: Hmong/Vietnamese cooking brief introductory about 1hour 30minutes
12:00 A.M: Lunch and rest
01:00 P.M : Trek from Handicraft workshop to a cave where locals ask for blessings to help their children recover from illness
02:00 P.M: Embroidery introductory session and hands-on about 1hours
02:30 P.M Drive back to Sapa Town
04:00 P.M, catching a bus to Hanoi
09:00 P.M, arriving in Hanoi. Ends the tour by dropping at your hotel.
