Detail itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi Airport. Meet our guide at the Noi Bai Airport and transfer to hotel in downtown Hanoi. In the evening, enjoy a special Water Puppet show and have welcome diner with the local delight. You stay overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi City tour – Sapa (B,L,D)
After breakfast in hotel you will take an interesting guided city tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh complex (the Mausoleum, the house& garden and the museum) and One Pillar Pagoda, a unique ancient architecture. After here we move to Temple of Literature, the first University in Vietnam which was built in 1070. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant.
In the afternoon we enjoy in cyclo tour in the ancient part of Hanoi. Walking down some small and lively street to see busy local market then join locals for green tea or coffee in the local café. Returning to the hotel and having dinner and then you are transferred to Hanoi train station to catch the night train to Sapa.
Day 3: Sapa – Suoi Ho – Ma Tra – Ta Phin (B,L,D)
You are welcomed by bus driver at Lao Cai train station and transported to Sapa, having breakfast at the hotel or local restaurant before walking about 12km along the mountain trails or main road to visit Suoi Ho, Matra and Taphin villages which are inhabited by Black Hmong and Red Dzao tribes. Along the way we can come in some schools as well as tribal houses to have experience of local Sapa life. Moreover, the landscape, culture, custom and tradition of Black Hmong tribe of Suoi Ho and Matra villages are preserved from tourists so you can study the raw things here. Picnic lunch will be served on the way. Arriving at Ta phin in the afternoon. After checking in the home stay and relaxed for few minutes, we keep treking about 2 hours to visit the Taphin cave and the village life. Returning to your home stay, we have dinner and stay overnight at the home stay in Taphin village.
Day 4: Ta Phin – Taxeng – Mong Seng – Takco – Sapa (B,L,D)
After having breakfast in Taphin village, we follow untouched trails through Red Dzao of Taxeng and Mongseng villages which is about 10km from Taphin. You will have picnic lunch next to beautiful stream in the jungle. And then we keep walking along the beautiful landscape of the mountain . We will reach Tacko at noon where we meet the car for transfer for to Sapa . You will be free in the rest of afternoon to discover the beautiful town in your own. You stay overnight at Sapa hotel.
Day5: Sapa – Hau Thao – Sau Chua villages – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B,L,D)
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive about 30 minutes to cross Sapa town and then we walk about 2 hours to visit Hau Thao and Sao Chua villages which are the home to Red Dzao and Hmong people. Difference from other Hmong villages, these villages are not ruined by tourist, everything seems to be preserve here. Meeting driver at the end of the village and we are transferred to Sapa for showering and dinner and then you are transferred to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi.
Day6: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Lan Ha Bay (B,L,D)
Arriving in Hanoi in the early morning, you are transferred to the hotel to have breakfast. After that we drive 154km to Ha Long Bay. Upon our arrival we embark on a junk trip amongst some of the spectacular limestone peaks – time to relax and and enjoy the beauty of the bay. Well off the tourist trail, we indulge in Hang Trong, a beautiful spot, perfect for the night on our traditional junk.
Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay of the submerged dragon, which boast 3000 craggy and towering islets, are amongst the most picturesque places in Vietnam. The fantastic beauty of the bays has given rise to many legends, some of them dating back to the ancient past. It is said that a dragon descended into the deep water spitting out gem as he did so. And thus the rocky islands were formed.
Day7: Ha Long Bay – Bai Tu Long (B,LD)
Leaving Halong Bay, we drive due north to Cai Rong Island. In Bai Tu Long Bay we enjoy a beautiful junk trip among the spectacular limestone peaks. If the weather permits, we can take a kayaking ride through stunning rock formations and fishing villages. After that we are driven to Quan Lan Island, a serene and beautiful island in Bai Tu Long Bay, we head to the family home, here we have an opportunity to learn how to make Spring Rolls and succulent fish dipping sauce and Squid dish then we share our dinner with the local family. Tonight we stay overnight with them.
Day8: Bai Tu Long – Hanoi – Fly to Hue (B,L,D)
You should get up early to see sunrise and explore an early fish market and then stroll around the picturesque villages of Quan Lan Island to watch the day unfold on the island. Next, we cycle to explore the further northern reaches of the island. Following, we board our junk to discover further northern of Bai Tu Long Bay. This is followed our journey back Noi Bai Airport to fly to Hue. You stay overnight in Hue
Day9: Hanoi – Da Nang – Hue (B,L,D)
You are met by our tour guide team at Dang Nang Airport and transfer you to Hue for an hour. Upon on arrival, we have a short tour to the hat and incenses stick making village where you can learn the traditional job of the people here and you can buy some for souvenirs. We return to Hue in the late afternoon, having dinner at the local restaurant before traveling by boat along the Perfume River to watch Hue Royal Court Music which is listed by UNESCO. You stay overnight at the comfortable hotel in Hue.
Day10: Hue city tour (B,L)
Hue is well-known for its beauty and isolation. Let,s the royal past come to life among the ruins of the Imperial Citadel, a fortress surrounded by a moat that has a 10km perimeter
After breakfast, we enjoy a boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the Pagodas of Minh Mang which is the most majestic of all of Royal Tombs, being renowned for its architecture, which harmoniously blends into the nature surroundings. This is followed by exploring Tu Duc tomb, Tu Duc designed the exquisitely harmonious tomb, which was constructed between 1864 and 1867, for use both before and after his death. Continuingly, we go to visit Khai Dinh tomb which is unlike other tombs in Hue, it is a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Even the stone faces of the mandarin honor guards and endowed with a mixture of Vietnamese and European features. We have lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, we go go visit Hue Citadel included Forbidden Citadel, Ngo Mon gate. And then visit some villages before returning back to the hotel. You stay overnight one more night in Hue.
Day11: Hue – My Son – Hoi An (B,L)
After our breakfast we head south through coastal rice paddies and traverse the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. En route we stop at My Son Temple, the very former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled central Vietnam between the second century and thirteenth century. We arrive in Hoi an around 3 pm, check in the hotel and relaxing.
Day12: Hoi An (B,L)
In the morning, we enjoy a cycling ride to the ancient town and then walk to visit the local temples and traditional houses which are charming and wonderful preserved, combining Chinese, Japanese, European influences. This is followed by a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to see how the local people fishing by using the simple equipments and then we keep moving forward to the sea gate to enjoy the amazing view. On the way back to Hoi An ancient town, we will go to see some floating villages to have experience of the local life. You stay overnight in Hoi An town of one more night.
Day 13: Hoi an – Cooking class – Da Nang – fly to Nha Trang (B,L)
Today we will have cooking class in the morning. Our tour starts to visit colorful market and experience the amazing sights, sound and aromas of this busy market. We will have opportunity to interact with the local sellers and purchase some of the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson. After that we board the boat for a leisurely cruise about 30 minutes along the Thu Bon River to Cooking School. This is a great chance to view the local river life. Up on arrival, we explore the cooking school,s herb and vegetable garden before learning some Vietnam,s well-known dishes. The cooking class runs about 2 hours. After the cooking class, we enjoy our own product. Your cooking class finishes about 1:00 PM. After that we are transferred to Da Nang to fly to Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang.
Day 14: Nha Trang – Island and snorkeling tour (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, we start to visit Cau Da Port where we take a boat to visit Tri Nguyen Aquarium on Mieu Island. Here we have chance to see small ocean world with many kinds of sea species of Nha TRang. Mun Island is the best island for snorkeling where we can see lots of lives colorful corals and fishes. Staying on the boat we can see the sea swallow,s nest on many caves. To Mot Island or Trach Island or on a small island called “mini” beach, we relax, swim and doing water sports or other activities. Fresh lunch at the where island and then stop at fishing village before we go to the shore. You stay overnight at the hotel in Nha Trang.
Day 15: Nha Trang free day at beach (B)
Day 16: Nha Trang – fly to Sai Gon – Cu Chi Tunnel (B,L)
After breakfast, we are transferred to Cam Ranh Airport to have a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City is our local tour guide is waiting for you and transfer you to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will leave Sai Gon for Cu Chi Tunnel, otherwise known as “Iron land”. On our way there we will drive through pleasant countryside: rubber plantations and rice paddies. We will have an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers. You stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 17: Ho Chi Minh – City tour (B,L)
After our breakfast, we depart our hotel for Reunification Palace, the former presidential Palace for the president of the South of Vietnam. After that we will visit War Remnant Museum where we can see countless artifacts, photographs and pictures documenting about the second Indochina war. We also stop at Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office to get the good shots for our memory of the pig, modern city of Vietnam. Our lunch will be served at the local restaurant in the central city. After lunch, we continue our city tour with visits: Ben Thanh Market, Cho Lon Market, China town. Here you can experience the local life of the Southern Vietnam. Then we will back to the hotel
Day18: Ho Chi Minh – My Tho – Ben Tre – Can Tho (B,L,D)
Depart from Ho Chi Minh City in the morning passing the rice fields, small hamlets around two hours arrive My Tho City. After arrive in My Tho, you will ride on a local boat along the Dragon Island, Unicorn Island, Phoenix Island, Turtle Island and stop at the famous Unicorn Island for visiting natural pure honey at a bee keeping farm ( try honey tea), listening folk songs, enjoy tropical fruit. And then you will take a short trek by rowing boat trip along the small canal to go to motorized boat. Continue trip to Ben Tre province where is the biggest hometown of coconut. Here we can see the local people make coconut candy, short time by horse-drawn carriage transfer to local restaurant for lunch and bicycle riding around the village. After lunch, the boat takes you back to My Tho. Then continue bus going to Can Tho City, Accommodation at the hotel or home stay on your request.
Day19: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market (B,L)
Cruising along the small and picturesque tributaries by local boat, we will see the Cai Rang Floating Market, the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats. Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals and you will roam through the village to visit a rice noodles making shop and visit fruit garden. Then take the car back to Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant on the way back to Ho Chi Minh.
Day 20: Departure (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel and relax until pick up time. Transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport for flight home.
