The picturesque town of Hoi An was once one of South-East Asia””s major trading ports and you have 3 days to explore this charming fishing town with its narrow streets, ancient family homes and Chinese Assembly Halls. Detail itinerary
Day 1: Da Nang Arrival
Welcome up on arrival at Danang Airport by Viet Sapa Travel Team, we then transfer to our hotel/resort at Da Nang Beach. Da Nang has a coastline of 30 kilometers long, famous for many beautiful seashores stretching from the north to the south such as My Khe, Nam O, Xuan Thieu, Thanh Binh, Son Tra. They are calm seas with green water during four seasons. Free at leisure in the rest of the day at beach. Overnight in Da Nang.
Day 2: Da Nang – Hue
After having breakfast, you are transferred to Hue for an hour. Upon on arrival, we have a short tour to the hat and incenses stick making village where you can learn the traditional job of the people here and you can buy some for souvenirs. We return to Hue in the late afternoon, having dinner at the local restaurant before traveling by boat along the Perfume River to watch Hue Royal Court Music which is listed by UNESCO. You stay overnight at the comfortable hotel in Hue.
Day 3: Hue City tour
Hue is well-known for its beauty and isolation. Let,s the royal past come to life among the ruins of the Imperial Citadel, a fortress surrounded by a moat that has a 10km perimeter
After breakfast, we enjoy a boat trip along the Perfume River to visit the Pagodas of Minh Mang which is the most majestic of all of Royal Tombs, being renowned for its architecture, which harmoniously blends into the nature surroundings. This is followed by exploring Tu Duc tomb, Tu Duc designed the exquisitely harmonious tomb, which was constructed between 1864 and 1867, for use both before and after his death. Continuingly, we go to visit Khai Dinh tomb which is unlike other tombs in Hue, it is a synthesis of Vietnamese and European elements. Even the stone faces of the mandarin honor guards and endowed with a mixture of Vietnamese and European features. We have lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, we go go visit Hue Citadel included Forbidden Citadel, Ngo Mon gate. And then visit some villages before returning back to the hotel. You stay overnight one more night in Hue.
Day 4: Hue – My Son – Hoi An
After our breakfast we head south through coastal rice paddies and traverse the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hoi An. En route we stop at My Son Temple, the very former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled central Vietnam between the second century and thirteenth century. We arrive in Hoi an around 3 pm, check in the hotel and relaxing.
Day4: Hoi An.
In the morning, we enjoy a cycling ride to the ancient town and then walk to visit the local temples and traditional houses which are charming and wonderful preserved, combining Chinese, Japanese, European influences. This is followed by a boat trip on the Thu Bon River to see how the local people fishing by using the simple equipments and then we keep moving forward to the sea gate to enjoy the amazing view. On the way back to Hoi An ancient town, we will go to see some floating villages to have experience of the local life. You stay overnight in Hoi An town of one more night.
Day 5: Hoi An – Cooking class
Our tour can start at 08:15 AM or at 01:30 PM. We will meet at the lobby of the hotel from where we can walk to Scout Cafe to have a refreshing drink. We then visit Hoi An’s colorful market and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy place.
We will have the opportunity to interact with local sellers while purchasing some of the ingredients which will be used in the upcoming cookery lesson. Afterwards, we will board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise, of about 25 minutes, along Thu Bon River to the Cookery School.
This will give us a chance to view local river life, so make sure our camera is in hand. Upon arrival, we will explore the cookery school’s herb and vegetable garden before learning about some of Hoi An’s as well asVietnam’s more well-known dishes.
The cookery lesson runs for about 2 hours, each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge’s Chef before we prepare the dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson we can then enjoy our culinary creations.
Day 6: Hoi An Relaxing day
Today we are free and at our leisure to either go for shopping or to the beach etc.
Day 7: Hoi An – Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh city.
After our breakfast, we explore the cooking class with herb and vegetable garden, learning some well-known dishes of Vietnam and Hoi an, which is the mix of Vietnam and Chinese cruise. And after lunch, we leave Hoi An for Da Nang International Airport to fly back Hanoi or Sai Gon on your request.
